Legal text does not forgive approximation: one mistranslated term in a contract or a court filing can shift a party’s position. That is why law firms get a dedicated process from us — specialized legal translators, case glossaries and turnaround times fixed in writing.

MovaPro has been translating for law firms, attorney associations and in-house legal teams since 2012. Our clients include PrivatBank, Samsung, LG and UNICEF, and legal documentation makes up a significant share of that work.

Who this service is for

  • law firms in Poland, Germany, Canada and the USA handling cases and transactions that involve Ukrainian parties;
  • litigation and arbitration counsel working with Ukrainian-language evidence, judgments and awards;
  • corporate counsel processing KYC packages and compliance requests on Ukrainian counterparties;
  • immigration and patent attorneys who regularly file translated Ukrainian documents.

What we translate

Court and procedural documents:

  • statements of claim, defenses, motions;
  • judgments, rulings and resolutions of Ukrainian courts;
  • appeal and cassation filings;
  • expert opinions, interrogation records;
  • evidence bundles for international arbitration.

Contracts and corporate documentation:

  • contracts, amendments, memoranda;
  • legal opinions;
  • powers of attorney, statements, affidavits;
  • founding documents and extracts from Ukrainian registers.

For filings with courts and authorities we prepare documents turnkey: notarized translation, apostille on originals or notarized copies, and consular legalization for countries outside the Hague Convention. Because everything happens at our Kyiv office, you get a single point of contact in Ukraine instead of coordinating a translator, a notary and an apostille office remotely.

Urgency without cutting corners

Court deadlines do not wait. When a package is needed “yesterday”, we:

  • confirm the real deadline before starting — and keep it (the Kyiv time zone works in your favor: an order sent from Toronto or New York in the evening is in progress before your morning);
  • split large volumes between several legal translators working from a single glossary;
  • deliver in installments so your team can work with the documents in parallel;
  • add an editor for a final consistency pass across the whole file when needed.

How cooperation works

  1. Framework agreement — signed once; after that, orders are placed by email.
  2. NDA — as standard, before the first document is transferred; it binds every linguist on the project.
  3. Case glossary — party names, authorities and key terms are recorded; we can align the glossary with your lawyers.
  4. SLA — guaranteed turnaround for standard documents, a separate procedure for urgent filings.
  5. Invoicing — invoices for legal entities, monthly billing, volume discounts; full rates are on the prices page.

Why law firms choose MovaPro

  • 437 translators in our database, including specialists with law degrees and hands-on experience with procedural documents;
  • a dedicated manager who knows your matters and formatting requirements;
  • notarization in Kyiv — a standard document is often certified the same day;
  • an office in central Kyiv at 9 Yaroslaviv Val St., near Zoloti Vorota metro, for clients who need originals handled on site;
  • over 12 years of work with corporate clients without a single confidentiality incident.

Frequently asked questions

Can you turn a document package around before a filing deadline?

Yes, urgent orders are our daily routine. A standard document is usually ready the same day; large case files are split between several legal translators working from a shared glossary and delivered in installments on an agreed schedule. Deadlines are confirmed in writing before we start.

How do you keep case materials confidential?

We sign an NDA before receiving any documents — our template or yours. Only the translators and the project manager assigned to your matter have access to the files, and each of them is bound by a written non-disclosure obligation. On request, we delete all files once the work is complete.

Will terminology stay consistent across the whole case file?

Yes. We maintain a glossary for every client: party names, authorities, job titles and key terms of the case are recorded and applied to every subsequent order. In multi-volume litigation and arbitration, where one inconsistent term can cost you an argument, we treat the glossary as part of the deliverable.

How does billing work for firms outside Ukraine?

We work under a framework agreement and invoice by bank transfer. Rates are set in UAH — English–Ukrainian legal translation starts at UAH 300 per standard page of 1,800 characters, a fraction of Western agency rates. Regular clients can opt for monthly invoicing (one invoice for all orders of the month) and volume discounts.
